  • Alcona Canoe Rental - The AuSable River is one of Michigans Wild and Scenic rivers. It provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting and wildlife viewing.  The river from Grayling to Oscoda is all wilderness with primitive camping along the river.  We offer trips ranging from 2-1/2 hours to 7 days.  With an average depth of one to three feet and four to six mile per hour current, the river is great for young and old alike.  Join us for a great vacation experience.
  • AuSable River Queen Cruises - This Paddlewheel Riverboat ride offer you a view of wildlife and beautiful scenery at its greatest splendor. Return rested and thrilled from viewing  river scenes rich in Indian lore, wildlife and lumbering history. They offer a variety of tours and trips at reasonable rates. Live music is provided on weekends.
  • Corsair Ski & Hiking Trails - Corsair Ski Trails are nestled in the beautiful Silver Valley area, surrounded by the 120,000 acre Huron National Forest. The Corsair system is one of the largest groomed trail networks in Michigan. The 56 kilometers of interconnecting trails cross forest and meadows, hills and valleys. They take you through sunny open vistas, into hushed stands of sweet-smelling fir and towering hardwoods, and along the edge of winding ice-locked streams.
  • Green Briar Golf Course - Lupton - Renowned golf course architect Jeff Gorney designed this 18-hole track specifically for the bogey golfer. Golfers will find a beautiful practice green and a driving range including a sand trap area to hone their skills or just warm up before a match.
  • Huron Trail - ATV/ORV Trail - 38 miles
  • Iargo Springs - Located on the River Road Scenic Byway, this site, considered a holy place by native Americans, offers a breathtaking view of the Au Sable River Valley from a 30' high observation deck. For the adventurous, walk down 294 steps and enter a mystical place where underground springs come together and form cold water streams. Walk along the elevated boardwalk and enjoy the serenity.
  • Iosco County Historical Museum - The museum is located at 405 West Bay Street (U.S. 23), East Tawas, Michigan 48730, next to the East Tawas City Park. Telephone: (989) 362-8911
  • Lumberman’s Monument - Lumberman's Monument Visitor Center sits on a high bluff overlooking the sparkling waters of the Au Sable River.  This major waterway is rich in cultural history.  Visitors get their first taste of this history as they pass through the entrance into the visitor center grounds.  Their eyes are immediately drawn to the massive bronze statue of three lumbermen that have watched over this stretch of the Au Sable River since 1932. This massive statue creates anticipation and wonderment of what lays ahead. Parking is convenient, with easy access for disabled, elderly, and large groups that may require curbside unloading.
  • Old State House Trail - ATV/ORV /Trail - 29 miles
  • OscodaCanoeRental - Featuring rentals of canoes, kayaks, and tubes for trips from 2 hours to 7 days along the AuSable river. Open April 15 through October.
  • Red Hawk Golf Club - East Tawas - Nestled into the woods of northeast Michigan, the Red Hawk Golf Club is one of the premier golf courses in the entire State of Michigan! As the recipient of numerous awards at the national and state level, Red Hawk has been acclaimed by both trade publications and golfers alike!
  • Rollway Resort & Canoe Rental - Canoe, Kayak or Tube down the famous AuSable River and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Huron National Forest. The AuSable River flows easterly through the Huron National Forest and empties into Lake Huron. Betweek Alcona Dam and Loud Dam, it remains totally unspoiled and fall colors are breathtaking. German Brown Trout, rainbow trout, walleye, pike and bass abound for the best fishing around.
  • Singing Bridge Golf Course - Tawas City - Our course is ideal for those persons who wish to enjoy a pleasant golf experience at an affordable price. We have watered fairways, woods, water, and wildlife. Located next to Lake Huron.
  • Tawas Point Lighthouse - The lighthouse is open Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The lighthouse is also open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
  • Tuttle Marsh Wildlife Area - Tuttle Marsh is a 5,000 acre wetland project consisting of over 3-1/2 miles of level ditch network and a 2-1/2 mile low-head dam with water level control structures. 35 earthen nesting islands have been constructed. Site includes a 380 acre impoundment area, open water and marsh and wildlife viewing areas.
